"The path inward is not an escape from the world — it is the very thing that prepares you to meet it."
— The Inner Work of Love & Action

The Book

From self-forgetting
to self-remembering

Drawing on the wisdom of the Enneagram and decades of embodied spiritual practice, this book is for those who are longing for a more satisfying, fulfilling life yet aren't sure what keeps getting in the way — and are ready to find out.

It is not a book of answers. It is an invitation to the questions that change everything — and a companion for the journey inward that quietly transforms the life you are living.

Practices

The work between
the pages

Each of these practices supports the journey from self-forgetting to self-remembering. They are offered here as an ongoing companion to the book — click any practice to open the full guide.

01

The Breath Practice

The breath is the most reliable anchor we have — always here, always available. This practice begins with the simple act of returning to the breath as it actually moves through the body.

02

The "I Am Here" Practice

A practice that supports the simple, yet profound, act of returning to presence — engaging the body, the breath, and attention through movement paired with the phrases: I, Am, Here.

03

The Orienting Practice

A practice of gently turning the attention — outward, inward, and back again — as a way of learning to recognize where awareness is and where it is being invited to rest.

04

The In and Down Practice

A practice that supports the movement of awareness from outside ourselves — in and down into the body — inviting a deeper sense of grounding and presence through the breath.

05

The Three Centers Practice

A practice of bringing awareness to the three centers of intelligence — Head, Heart, and Body — and learning to sense each one as a distinct and available source of knowing.

06

The Expanding Centers Practice

A somatic and contemplative practice that uses breath and visualization to gather and expand awareness within each Center, before uniting all three in a single integrated experience of grounded presence.

07

The Practice of Returning

From Self-Forgetting to Self-Remembering — a practice that works directly with the shift from the familiar energy of your conditioned pattern to the felt sense of the virtue already present within you.

08

Anchoring the Virtue

A practice of finding where your Type's virtue lives in the body — and learning to return to it. Not by eliminating what arises automatically, but by remembering that another way of being is always available.

09

Embodying Presence

A movement practice that brings Head, Heart, and Body into a single integrated awareness — not one center running the rest, but the whole of you here, in this moment, rooted in the Love that has been holding you all along.

Embodying Love

A practice that invites the whole of yourself — body, gesture, breath, and the deepest truths of your Type — into the work of remembering. It asks nothing more than presence and a willingness to move.

Energy Follows Attention

Where attention goes repeatedly, energy follows. Over time, we are not seeing reality as it is, but through a narrowing of perception — a constriction in how we experience ourselves, others, and the world.

Three Questions That Lead to Self-Remembering and Returning to Presence
